2.1. A collection of ceramic, stone, porcelain, bronze, and fossil wood

Here, there is a collection of 2,645 ceramic, stone, porcelain, bronze, and wooden artifacts in the main gallery. The artifacts, dating from the 15th century BC to the feudal age, boldly bear the imprint of Vietnamese culture.

One of the most attractive collections here is the display of antiquities recovered from shipwrecks on the east coast of Phu Quoc. They are mostly Thai ceramics dating from the 15th to 17th century, including various types of bowls and jars. These artifacts prove that even in the very early days, the pearl island had international trade activities by sea.

2.2. A collection of Phu Quoc's ecosystem

Coi Nguon Museum is also home to a collection of ecological artifacts, with more than 10 types of coral, 20 fragments of sea cow bones and whales, wild boar fangs, 20 fossil mosses, and 90 types of snails and scallops. The collection of Phu Quoc's ecosystem is the clear proof of the favor that nature has given to this pearl island.

2.3. A collection of wooden works from Phu Quoc's primeval forests

At the fossil wood gallery, a highlight is the fossil wood originating from primeval forests during the Triassic and Jurassic age (about 138 - 208 million years ago). After the impact of a volcanic eruption, these logs were buried in lava and gradually formed into a solid block-like rock.

At the display area for all kinds of wood in Phu Quoc, visitors can learn more about the precious first-class and second-class primeval forests in Vietnam. Phu Quoc’s forest area accounts for 70% of the island's total area, with an extremely diverse ecosystem.

On the 5th floor of Coi Nguon Museum, there is a collection of local traditional trade items, with more than 100 artifacts that show the many periods of Phu Quoc's development history.
