The distance from Quang Duc Pagoda to the center of Can Tho City is 2 kilometers. Taking a taxi costs you approximately 35,000 VND, whereas a motorbike taxi ride costs around 20,000 VND. 

But if you’re traveling on your own vehicle, you can take this route: From the center of Can Tho City, head north to Phan Dinh Phung - Ngo Duc Ke - Nguyen An Ninh - Hoa Binh - 30/4 Street. It is recommended that you use Google Maps to help find the route, or feel free to ask any friendly local on the way. As you reach Trung Son Pharmacy, turn right and continue straight. You will see Quang Duc Pagoda on the right side.

2. History of Quang Duc Pagoda Can Tho

Quang Duc Pagoda was built in 1958 by Most Venerable Thich Buu Lai. The entire pagoda was renovated and rebuilt in 2006 with meticulous care and attention. 

Today, Quang Duc Pagoda is a sacred place where monks and nuns give teachings on Buddhist philosophy and practices. On special occasions like Buddha’s Birthday and Vietnamese Parents’ Day (Vu Lan), Quang Duc Pagoda hosts traditional festivals and releases fish as part of a Buddhist tradition.

The pagoda's tower is located on the left side of the courtyard. Its architecture is similar to the main hall, with three different levels. The peak of the tower is adorned with a red tiled roof and a carved dragon shape. 

In addition, visitors can admire the gold-plated mural of the Buddha's origin, the lotus flower behind the tower, and the poem about the Buddha's teachings translated from Archaic Chinese.
