Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023

On the morning of December 28, 2023, the Championship Pro-Am competition day within the framework of Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023 officially took place at Vinpearl Golf Nha Trang, with the participation of the world's leading golf legends and famous golfers from Vietnam.

Pro-Am round – Opening for Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023

The Pro-Am round is an exciting and unique opening for Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023, a prestigious tournament within the European Legends Tour.

During the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Bui Nguyen Thang Long, General Director of Viet Challenge cum deputy Head of the Organizing Committee said: "Pro-Am round is an event in the series of activities of Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023. This is a tournament It is very meaningful for Vietnamese golfers to interact with the top golf legends in the world. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I hope you will have a day of great competition and high achievements, and at the same time the international golf legends will understand more about the culture and people of Vietnam".

The Pro-Am round took place on November 28 and 29, with the participation of 24 legendary golfers and 72 Vietnamese amateur athletes. Golfers are divided into 24 teams, each team includes 1 professional athlete and 3 amateur athletes. The tournament takes place in the stroke-play format in teams of 4 without Handicaps applied in a round of 18 holes (for each tournament). The winning team must have the lowest total net points at the end of the tournament. Each player on the team is required to choose at least 3 tee shots in the 18-hole round.

Opportunity to compete with top golf legends

Attending Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023 are the top 10 world legends, including Michael Campbell, who defeated the legendary Tiger Woods to be crowned champion of the 2005 US Open Golf tournament - one of four tournaments in the world of professional golf. Joining him were Euan McIntosh, the oldest winner of the Scottish Amateur Championship at Bláigowrie in 2018, Emanuele Canonica, champion of the 1990 Italian National Juniors Championship, John Price, a three-time winning golfer at the European Tour between 1994 and 2003. Other legends are James Kingston, Adilson Da Silva, Stephen Dodd, Joakim Haeggman, Peter Baker, and Markus Brier.
