Vinpearl and world-leading hotel group Meliá Hotels International announce strategic cooperation

On February 23rd, 2022, Vinpearl Joint Stock Company (“Vinpearl”) and the world’s award-winning hotel group Meliá Hotels International announced a strategic cooperation roadmap. The cooperation between these two largest resort hotel brands promises to offer both domestic and international tourists the opportunity to experience top-notch accommodation services and contribute to enhancing the position of Vietnam’s tourism in the global ranks.

Within the cooperation framework, Vinpearl will transfer the management rights of its 12 hotels and resorts to Meliá Hotels International for a minimum period of 10 years. Upon such transfer, the chain of 12 hotels will operate under the new brand “Meliá Vinpearl”, similar to other global 5-star chains such as Meliá Hotels & Resorts, Sol by Meliá and INNSiDE by Meliá.

According to the mutually agreed roadmap, Meliá Vinpearl Quang Binh is the first hotel to be taken over and operated by Meliá as of January 2022. Next, Meliá Vinpearl Hue is also available for the transfer this February. Among the remaining hotels we will have of Vinpearl Hotel Tay Ninh, Vinpearl Condotel Riverfront Da Nang, Vinpearl Discovery Ha Tinh, Vinpearl Hotel Ha Tinh, Vinpearl Discovery Cua Hoi, Vinpearl Hotel Thanh Hoa, Vinpearl Condotel Phu Ly and Vinpearl Hotel Rivera Hai Phong, to be officially managed by Meliá by June 2022.

This will be a breakthrough step that contributes to strengthening Vietnam's importance in Meliá's development strategy in the Asia-Pacific region since the brand was officially present here with the grand opening of the 5-star Melia Hanoi hotel in 1999.
