The mandatory requirements for preserving President Ho Chi Minh’s Body are to prevent decomposition, shrinkage, and discoloration. Maintaining specific temperature and humidity levels where his remains are kept is paramount to meeting these requirements.

3. Where is President Ho Chi Minh's body currently preserved?

Ho Chi Minh’s Body has recently been preserved in the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Vietnamese and foreign visitors can come to respect the National Hero at: 

  • Address: Hung Vuong Street, Dien Bien Ward, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi
  • Opening hours:
    • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: from 7:30 am – 10:30 am (8:00 am – 11:00 am in the winter)
    • Saturday and Sunday: 7:30 am – 11:00 pm (8:00 am – 11:30 pm in the winter)
    • The Mausoleum closes on Monday and Friday.
  • Entrance fee: 25,000 VND/adult (for foreign tourists only, Vietnamese citizens get free tickets to the Mausoleum)
