1. Where is the Abandoned Water Park in Hue Vietnam?

Hue Abandoned Water Park, also known as Thuy Tien Lake, is located on Thien An Hill, Thuy Bang Commune, Huong Thuy Town, approximately 7 kilometers southwest of the city center of Hue, Vietnam.

  • Entrance fee: 10,000 VND
  • Opening hours: Daytime

Although Thuy Tien Lake is an abandoned facility, to enter the premises, visitors are required to pay a small entry fee and an additional 5,000 VND for parking their vehicles.

2. How to get to Hue Abandoned Water Park?

The Abandoned Hue Water Park is located not far from Khai Dinh Tomb. From the city center of Hue, travelers can go along Le Duan Street towards Da Vien Bridge. Upon reaching Phan Chu Trinh Street, turn right onto Dien Bien Phu Street. At the end of Dien Bien Phu Street, make a right turn onto Le Ngo Cat Street, then take a left towards Khai Dinh Tomb. From there, make a right turn onto Thuy Tien Street and continue for approximately 1 kilometer until reaching Thien An Hill. Visitors can park their vehicles at the lower area and walk up to Hue Abandoned Water Park.

3. History of Thuy Tien Lake Abandoned Water Park

Originally built in 2000, this water park spans an area of 49.9 hectares. It featured various highlights such as an aquarium, a dragon sculpture, and a grandstand with a seating capacity of 2,500. However, the project did not achieve the desired business results and was forced to close. 

Subsequently, after a change in ownership and management, the Thuy Tien Lake tourist site in Hue became an abandoned park for a considerable period of time.

In 2016, the Huffingtonpost.com (USA) published an article showcasing the eerie and desolate images of this tourist site. Since then, Thuy Tien Lake Water Park in Hue has gained fame as a mysterious and chilling attraction.
