In the late 17th century, the main temple of Perfume Pagoda was officially constructed. However, during the resistance against the French in 1947, the pagoda suffered severe damage. Thanks to the guidance of Venerable Thich Thanh Chan and the efforts of Venerable Thich Vien Thanh, the pagoda was restored in 1989.
